I absolutely agree. I just made myself read The Catcher I’d Rather Deny and it was the most tedious boring shit ever. OVERATED! Great Expectations is a bit better but could be hacked to 1/2 its length. I understand Dickens need to describe and use use an excess of blabber to explain everything but it’s a bit to much. I think A Tale of Two Cities is a great book. There are other classic reads that won’t bore to death but some of the authors liked to bloviate as I am doing here. Excellent review👍
