I find some of this article to be contadictory. Why would anyone stay in a place the authorities don’t prosecute criminal behavior? She even sites wide spread gang activity. The living there is horrendous. The orphan problem has no stats. Sorry but there are problems asylum seekers are fleeing and not just in Honduras. It is not illegal to seek asylum. There is a certain tone of privilege she speaks from. If she chooses to afflict herself with living in the condition she chooses it is not her right to tell others how to live. This is not a religious problem or answer it’s an issue of people seeking to change their lives for the better. They should not be put in concentration camps for this.
