I’ve had the same epiphany. I’m working on stories, mostly fiction doing this now. I plan to publish at least two by the end of September. I think writers on Medium should stop worrying about curation and being 'accepted’ into pubs or by insincere clappers, and focus on short read publishing on Kindle.
